Mobile Pet Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a type of imaging technique that uses sound waves to thoroughly examine your pet's internal organs. When blood tests, x-rays, or other examinations are inconclusive, this non-invasive procedure helps to determine what is bothering your pet. At Advanced Mobile Vet, serving Orange and Seminole Counties, we offer on-site ultrasounds for both small and large pets.
We Bring the Ultrasound Equipment to Your Door
Many vets outsource the ultrasound process, which means that you have to take your pet to an unfamiliar vet clinic for the test. At Advanced Mobile Vet, we not only serve as your go-to care provider for your animals, but we bring the equipment to you and your pet.
Your pet deserves the care he or she needs in the comfort of its own home, usually away from the stress and anxiety of a long drive or a crowded animal hospital. We seek to relieve your pet's stress by bringing our extensive experience and state-of-the-art equipment straight to your door. Veterinary house calls are known to serve both pet and owner by reducing stress, eliminating difficult commutes, and providing care to animals that cannot travel easily.
What to Expect with a Pet Ultrasound
When our veterinarian suggests the ultrasound procedure for your pet, there are several things you can expect. Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that checks the spleen, liver, pancreas, kidney, and gallbladder. This low-risk option allows us to better diagnose and treat your animal. Our goal is to get your pet back to a life of optimal health.
To get the best results, it is important that your animal fasts for 12 hours leading up to the ultrasound. This allows us to better examine the internal organs, especially in the abdominal area. Once we arrive on-site, we may need to trim your pet's fur where the ultrasound will occur. There is no need for sedation unless your pet is overly anxious. However, your presence allows your animal to experience a more relaxed and soothing ultrasound.
